Benedict explores with Stephen Hawking the since time imemorial question whether a God created our universe? Amazing!

Curiosity is a documentary series with 29 episodes first aired on 7 August 2011 on Discovery Channel with the 45-minute episode “Did God Create the Universe?”.
The most famous astrophysicist of the present, Stephen Hawking, asks the everlasting question – and Benedict Cumberbatch, who joined the genius since his presentation in Hawking, is acting as narrator of this exciting journey into facts and philosophical and religious considerations about the question human beings think about since beginning of time: Is there a God who created the universe in which we live – or is it all just a random result, the big-bang, maybe?

The episode begins with Hawking’s touching words :
“Hello. My name is Stephen Hawking – physicist, cosmologist, and something of a dreamer. Although I can not move, and I have to speak through a computer, in my mind, I am free.”

And it ends with the neither less impressive summary:
“We are each free to believe what we want. And it’s my view that the simplest explanation is: There is no God. No one created the universe, and no one directs our fate. This leads me to a profound realization. There is probably no heaven and no afterlife, either. We have this one life to appreciate the grand design of the universe. And for that, I am extremely grateful.”
