Benedict reads the children’s story of a little red hen – also wonderful for “big kids”.
Little Red Hen is a children’s story ready by Benedict Cumberbatch for Penguin Books in 2009.
In the story “The Little Red Hen” finds a grain of wheat and asks the other animals of the farm for help to plant it. But none of the animals would help her.
At each further stage (harvest, threshing, milling and baking), the hen again asks the animals to help, but still gets no support.
When the hen has successfully finished her undertaking without their help and asks who now wants to help to eat the bread, all animals come forward without hesitation. However, the hen refuses their help and eats the bread together with her own chicks.
